Wraparound Childcare Questionnaire for Parents of children (5+) with SEND
Overview
The National Wraparound Childcare Programme is part of the childcare reforms announced at the 2023 Spring Budget. The government's ambition is that by 2026, all parents and carers of primary school-aged children (5 -11 Yrs.), who need it, will be able to access term time childcare in their local area from 8am to 6pm.
As part of this wraparound programme planning in Northumberland, we want to understand what the level of demand looks like for children with a special educational need or disabilities (SEND).
We want to explore how access to wraparound provision for children with SEND can be improved.
This survey has been co-produced with Northumberland Parent Carer Forum (NPCF), which is the Department for Education’s recognised parent carer forum in Northumberland.
NPCF work in partnership with the Local Authority, Health and Social Care services to improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families.
