SEN/D Activity Provision - Northumberland (North)
Overview
Northumberland County Council are keen to expand their sport & leisure offer for young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities through their Ability2Play programme.
Using sport and leisure activities as a catalyst, the Ability2Play programme focuses on providing opportunities, expanding social circles, encouraging independence and improving mental health for its service users. This is achieved by creating a fun, safe environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves without fear of discrimination.
We are eager to hear from parents/carers of young people with SEN/Ds, the young people themselves and professionals who work within the sector.
This questionnaire is in respect to activities such as holiday programmes, community after school clubs ect.
