Overview

Northumberland County Councils Housing Delivery Team was established in 2019 to help deliver high quality, affordable housing in key areas in Northumberland. Focusing on the locations where the council still own and manage housing stock, the delivery team has expanded in the last three years and is currently exploring a number of council owned sites where they can plan and develop new affordable housing to address the needs of different communities.

Why your views matter

Greyfields in Embleton is a small development site which formerly had 2no Swedish style timber bungalows on the land. The bungalows have been demolished and the County Council propose to develop 2no 2bedroom houses and 2no 2bedroom bungalows on the site. This on-line information survey will introduce our proposals, help you see what we intend to develop on the site, and allow you to make any comments on the proposals. Your views and comments matter as they can help us submit a good quality planning application, which we would like to do at the end of August 2024.

What happens next

Thank you for providing your views to the proposed housing development at Greyfields, Embleton. Any planning related views will be used to inform the county councils Design and Access Statement and Planning Application. There will be a further statutory consultation period for 21 days as part of the planning application process where you will be able to comment again on the proposal, should you wish.
