Overview

Northumberland County Councils Housing Delivery Team was established in 2019 to help deliver high quality, affordable housing in key areas in Northumberland. Focusing on the locations where the council still own and manage housing stock, the delivery team has expanded in the last three years and is currently exploring a number of council owned sites where they can plan and develop new affordable housing to address the needs of different communities.

Why your views matter

Lanercost Park is a housing estate in Cramlington with a mix of houses and apartment blocks dating from the 1960s and 70s. The County Council propose to develop a site in the middle of the estate which formerly had an apartment block situated on it. The apartment block has been demolished and the site is now clear. The County Council are proposing a new mixed development of  2 and 4 bedroom houses and 1 and 2 bedroom apartments which will provide affordable housing for the area. Your views matter and we would like to receive comments from residents and the local community on our proposals. Your views will help inform our planning application which we aim to submit in November 2024.
