Equality, diversity and inclusion consultation reopened
Overview
Our Equality Objectives 2021 - 2025
Northumberland County Council is asking for your views on our new draft equality objectives. Objectives are the things we plan to do. These objectives will guide our work for the next four years. When our objectives are agreed we will develop actions to help us monitor how we are doing. The objectives aim to help us to tackle inequality and achieve our vision to improve equality, diversity and inclusion.
Your views matter to us
We know that the best results and changes can only be achieved by working in partnership with you – residents, students, workers, partner organisations, voluntary organisations or businesses and anyone who has an interest in Northumberland.
Your feedback is really important so please get involved. We need to hear from you.
How to take part
Please share your views by completing this short online questionnaire - it should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Paper versions are also available to download. Please return completed paper questionnaires to:

Why your views matter
The Public Sector Equality Duty requires all public authorities, like Northumberland County Council, to publish one or more equality objectives it thinks it should achieve to fulfil the public sector equality duty. These objectives must be renewed every four years. We are consulting the public and our staff to make sure that our objectives fully reflect our communities in Northumberland.
