Northumberland Housing Design Standards: Project Brief

Overview

We are seeking views on proposals for a Northumberland Housing Design Standards (NHDS) Supplementary Plan. Supplementary plans form part of the development plan, which is used to determine planning applications. It will be applied alongside the current Local Plan and the future Local Plan, once adopted.  

The plan will set out design requirements and guidance for development that includes or affects homes and residential areas. Its focus will be on the design of new homes, streets and neighbourhoods.
