Farming and Rural Communities Mental Health Survey

Overview

You have been invited to take part in a survey to understand more about your mental health needs and how well these are being met by local services. It is expected this survey will take around 10 minutes to complete.

We are only seeking participants from the farming or agricultural sector, their families, or those who live in rural communities. If you do not meet these requirements then please do not complete this survey.

Participation is voluntary, but some questions relate to personal experiences of mental health and may feel sensitive or emotionally difficult. You may skip any question or stop at any time without giving a reason.

All responses will be anonymised, stored securely and only used for the purposes of Northumberland County Council's mental health needs assessment, including reporting or service planning. Results will be presented in summary form and will not identify you.

There will be an option at the end of the survey to provide an email address to be contacted for a follow-up interview to discuss your lived experience of mental ill-health and whether you have accessed any particular services or organisations. This is not mandatory and can be left blank.

If you feel distressed while completing the survey, you may wish to pause and seek support from someone you trust, or contact:
